Dobby Terms of Service

Last updated: September 3, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of Dobby, a Windows application provided by Rockwood Shutters, Inc. ("Rockwood," "we," "us," or "our") for authorized business operations and QuickBooks integrations.

Authorized Use

Dobby is intended only for Rockwood-authorized employees, contractors, and other users approved by Rockwood (each, an "Authorized User"). You may use Dobby only for legitimate business purposes and in accordance with these Terms, applicable law, and Rockwood policies.

You must not:

  • Share Dobby access with an unauthorized person.

  • Use Dobby to access, modify, or export information that you are not authorized to handle.

  • Attempt to bypass security controls, reverse engineer Dobby, or interfere with its operation.

  • Use Dobby in a way that violates Intuit QuickBooks terms, applicable law, or the rights of another person or organization.

QuickBooks Integration

Dobby may connect to Intuit QuickBooks when an Authorized User grants the required authorization. By connecting QuickBooks, you authorize Dobby to access and process the QuickBooks information permitted by the authorization, solely to perform the requested business and accounting workflows.

You are responsible for confirming that the correct QuickBooks company is selected and that the requested action is accurate before using Dobby to create or update records. Dobby may create, update, retrieve, or synchronize QuickBooks data based on the operation selected by the Authorized User.

You may disconnect Dobby from QuickBooks through the applicable QuickBooks or Intuit settings or by contacting Rockwood for assistance.

Data and Privacy

Our handling of information through Dobby is described in the Dobby Privacy Policy. By using Dobby, you acknowledge that Dobby may process authorized QuickBooks and business information as described in that policy.

Security

You must protect your device, credentials, and any information accessed through Dobby. Notify Rockwood promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, loss of a device, or misuse of the QuickBooks integration.

Availability and Changes

Dobby is provided for Rockwood business operations. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Dobby or any integration feature at any time, including to maintain security, comply with legal requirements, or address technical issues.

Disclaimers

Dobby is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. Rockwood does not guarantee that Dobby will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every accounting need. Authorized Users remain responsible for reviewing records and maintaining appropriate accounting controls.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Rockwood will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, Dobby. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Dobby after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
