Dobby Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Rockwood Shutters, Inc. ("Rockwood," "we," "us," or "our") provides Dobby, an internal Windows application used to support business operations, including accounting workflows and QuickBooks integrations. This Privacy Policy explains how Dobby handles information when authorized users connect Dobby to Intuit QuickBooks services.

Information Dobby May Access

When an authorized user connects Dobby to QuickBooks, Dobby may access business information needed to perform the requested accounting workflow. Depending on the permissions granted, this may include customer, vendor, invoice, bill, payment, account, item, and related transaction information.

Dobby uses Intuit's OAuth authorization process. Dobby does not receive or store a user's Intuit password. Access is limited to the permissions authorized by the user or QuickBooks administrator.

How We Use Information

We use information accessed through Dobby only to:

  • Perform requested accounting and operational workflows.

  • Create, update, or retrieve authorized QuickBooks records.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot the Dobby integration.

  • Protect the security and integrity of our systems.

  • Meet applicable legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell QuickBooks data or use it for unrelated advertising or marketing.

Sharing of Information

We share information only as needed to operate Dobby and its authorized QuickBooks integration. This includes Intuit QuickBooks and service providers that help us operate, secure, or support our systems. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, security, or property of Rockwood, our users, or others.

Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information handled by Dobby. No system can guarantee complete security.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for business operations, accounting requirements, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements. Authorized users may disconnect the QuickBooks integration through Dobby or by contacting us.

Your Choices

Authorized users may revoke Dobby's QuickBooks access through the applicable QuickBooks or Intuit settings and may contact us to request assistance with disconnecting the integration. Requests concerning personal information may be subject to applicable legal and business record-retention requirements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
